Throw Back Thursday: Painted Sled

Rosemary’s favorite thing to do is to take old and make it look like brand new.  Rosemary painted this lovely sled two years ago for a customer and the piece reminds me of when I was a kid and I used to go sleigh riding.  See what Rosemary can do with items from your childhood and preserve them into wonderful memories.  This sled is just an example of her talent.

Photo Of The Day: Black And White Painted Glasses

As you all know, Rosemary is still recovering from two knee replacement surgeries.  She’s moving around great, but is still not able to climb a ladder.  With a few pieces of painted furniture in the shop and some other things to do, Rosemary has been one busy girl.  I decided to make this a photo of the day because with fall on the way and early holiday shopping, why not have Rosemary do some painted glasses for you.  This is just an example of the beautiful pieces that she’s created.  See Rosemary and Lauren at Harvest Fest (Saturday October 3rd, 2015).

TBT: Late Summer Clean-Up

Late August of 2014 we decided it was time to clean up our storage unit, as well as the attic and basement.  You got it! Before painting and other artistic creativities, my mom sewed.  Mom sewed some dresses for me when I was a little girl, as well as some clothes for herself.  The memories we unleashed while cleaning up made me say, I have a good life.  Welcome to Sow’s Ear Studio’s Throwback Thursday photo of the day.

TBT: Yarns For Your Soul: Manchester, Vermont

Yarns For Your Soul: Manchester, Vermont.  Memorial Day 2014, we decided to take a trip to Bennington, Vermont to pick up some Chalk Paint for my mom.  After we left Bennington, we drove to Manchester, Vermont to this unique, special, yarn shop called Yarns For Your Soul.  For a small place, it packs lots of good yarn.  Welcome to my Throwback Thursday photos for today!
