It’s Here: Happy First Day Of Fall From Sow’s Ear Studio

Welcome fall.  Sow’s Ear Studio loves fall because of the color changes in the leaves, the smell of baked goods, and the fall specials restaurants offer.  Lauren Prock of Sow’s Ear Studio purchased this lovely fall flag for the shop on Monday at Michael’s Arts And Crafts.  We’re also going to purchase some sales flags, promotion flags, and much more for the shop.  Just a friendly reminder, Harvest Fest is Saturday October 3rd, 2015 from 10a.m.-3p.m.  If weather permits, I’ll be selling all my knit and crochet items on the front porch.  We’re also going to have a 10% off furniture sale inside as well.  See more of our beautiful flags at Sow’s Ear Studio.

Photo Of The Day: Maya Angelou Quote

Due to the mess we have in the shop because there’s lots of furniture that needs to be painted, I haven’t been posting much about the shop.  Furniture is almost coming out the door, and I’d rather post about us working on something productive.  In the meantime, see some great photos of nature, outside the shop, and much more.  Today’s photo of the day is a quote from Maya Angelou.

Fall is one of Sow’s Ear Studio’s favorite parts of the year. The smells, the flowers, and the leaves changing colors. See Sow’s Ear Studio come alive with fall 2015. Throw Back Thursday: Painted Sled

Rosemary’s favorite thing to do is to take old and make it look like brand new.  Rosemary painted this lovely sled two years ago for a customer and the piece reminds me of when I was a kid and I used to go sleigh riding.  See what Rosemary can do with items from your childhood and preserve them into wonderful memories.  This sled is just an example of her talent.

Photo Of The Day: Black And White Painted Glasses

As you all know, Rosemary is still recovering from two knee replacement surgeries.  She’s moving around great, but is still not able to climb a ladder.  With a few pieces of painted furniture in the shop and some other things to do, Rosemary has been one busy girl.  I decided to make this a photo of the day because with fall on the way and early holiday shopping, why not have Rosemary do some painted glasses for you.  This is just an example of the beautiful pieces that she’s created.  See Rosemary and Lauren at Harvest Fest (Saturday October 3rd, 2015).

Rosemary and I are still enjoying summer, even though summer is coming to an end.  It’s amazing how summer flew by so fast that now we’re planning for Harvest Fest 2015 (Saturday October 3rd, 2015) on Upper Union Street.  We wish summer is coming to an end, but we’re looking forward to the beautiful colors that fall will bring.  Rosemary is still working on painted furniture for customers, and we’re also working on getting Sow’s Ear Studio’s etsy shop up and running.  See Sow’s Ear Studio on etsy in the middle of October. Keep cool this week, for this week will be hot and humid.
